Nancy Dobbs – President & CEO, KRCB Television and Radio

Nancy Dobbs is a leader in the public radio and television industry. She is the current President and CEO of KRCB Television and Radio, graduated from Sonoma State University with a degree in political science (Distinguished Alum, 1998). Since that time she has been actively involved with public service in the areas of health care policy and telecommunications.  She has been instrumental in putting six channels on the air over the past 35 years.  Through her leadership efforts, KRCB brought public television (PBS) to more than six million residents of the North Bay and the greater Bay Area, followed by public radio (NPR) when KRCB launched Sonoma County’s first English language public radio station in September of 1994. Recently she led the front getting in real time information and coverage of the North Bay Wildfires helping victims and friends and family of victims obtain information on the current situation.

Prior to this position, Nancy served as a health planner for the North Bay Health Systems Agency, where she assimilated and analyzed health care data for Sonoma, Solano and Napa Counties.  She developed a five-year regional health plan and coordinated with community organizations to implement the plan.  Nancy served as the Finance Committee Chair for the Board of Trustees of Community Hospital (now Sutter Medical Center).  She was on staff to the Assembly Health Committee and the Joint Legislative Audit Committee in the mid-70s.  She served for seven years as an elected member of the Palm Drive Health Care District.  She has served on the Board of the North Bay Leadership Council for 12 years.
