W. Bradley Electric Wins Two Major Bids

Health Care Telcom Projects on the Rise

WBE Telcom Vice President Steven Bradley was the successful bidder to DPR Construction for Phase 1 on Floor 2 of National Health Care’s Data Center in Northern California. Our crew, which included 11 technicians, began work on the project in August of this year, with final inspections taking place mid-October. The $3 million project encompassed a long list of data installation that included 75 Wrightline Cabinets, which will house the data requirements on this floor.

The Health Care Organization, who relies heavily on their data, specified Systimax Lazrspeed/Teraspeed Fiber for this project, which is designed to operate over the entire wavelength range from 1280 nm to 1625 nm — removing the water peaks (high attenuation) in the 1400 nm window. This increases the useable wavelength range over conventional single mode fiber by more than 50%.

Project Manager, Kirk Chudzinski has been a vital part of WBE Telcom’s long standing relationship with this organization over the years. Kirk managed this phase of the project, while Foreman Steve Globe was the onsite lead. During the final inspection, Commscope’s Engineer Doug Hugill pointed out the “phenomenal” job Steve and his crew did on the 22,656 fiber ties. Steve’s crew included Chris Beltran, Eric Bern, Chris Kruger, Jacob Jones, Ryan Galloway, Dennis Dudics, Paul Gigliello Sr., Sam Coe, Alex Martinez & Jim Graf.

According to WBE CEO Leslie Murphy, “Relationships such as these are invaluable to us and our field crews do a great job at strengthening them.” Ms. Murphy personally thanked Steve for “…making WBE shine at the data center project!”

Interactive Whiteboard Enhances Training at Novato Police Department

WBE Audio Visual recently installed two “Smart Boards” for the Novato Police Department, which, according to Captain David Jeffries, “…has given Novato PD its best training experience yet.”

The interactive white boards, which support multi touch interaction, will be utilized for the department’s trainings, including self-defense, fire arms and emergency driving training; as well as special operations.
“The Smart Boards also have the capability to display video’s, which adds an important dimension to our training.” said Captain Jeffries. “This new tool will not only improve training, but also increase officer safety and crime prevention by helping our department monitor activities in and around Novato more efficiently and effectively through display from our security cameras, dispatch system and vehicle tracking software.”
WBE Audio Visual Engineer Brian Costello has worked closely with Captain Jeffries and his team to help train the department’s staff to fully utilize the benefits of this new technology. Captain Jeffries expressed his appreciation at what has been a fruitful and on-going relationship with WBE on a variety of technology projects. “The personalized, professional and prompt service and follow through are very important reasons we continue to work with WBE,” said Captain Jeffries.
