Redwood Credit Union (RCU) is now sponsoring holiday food and toy donation programs in all of its North Bay and San Francisco branch locations. Branches will be collecting new toys and non-perishable food items now through December 18 for holiday distribution by local nonprofit agencies. In Sonoma County, gift drives will support the Sonoma County Volunteer Center’s Secret Santa Program, and food donations will support the Redwood Empire Food Bank (except in Petaluma where food donations will support Committee on the Shelterless/COTS).
“It’s our holiday tradition to offer our branches as convenient food and gift collection sites to support our local nonprofits and make the holidays a little brighter for those in need,” said Brett Martinez, RCU’s President & CEO. “We’re always very thankful to those who give so generously to the less fortunate during the holiday season.”
Last year, RCU collected more than 1,500 donated gifts, along with 1,100 lbs. of donated food through its holiday donation drives.
