Redwood Credit Union Hosts Blood Drive

In partnership with Blood Centers of the Pacific, Redwood Credit Union (RCU) hosted a blood drive at their Administrative Offices in Santa Rosa on October 3. Blood Centers of the Pacific collects blood that stays local, benefitting hospitals include the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa, and Kaiser Santa Rosa Medical Center. More than 17 employees and community members came to donate. Redwood Credit Union’s sponsored blood drive collected 13 units to save a potential of 39 lives.

“The credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ is showcased through community partnerships like the one we’ve developed with Blood Centers of the Pacific. We’re pleased to offer our employees, Members, and local communities convenient opportunities to donate blood and save lives,” said Robin McKenzie, Senior Vice President.

RCU demonstrates their commitment to the communities they serve in a variety of ways through volunteerism, fundraising and donations, sponsorship, leadership on non-profit boards, free financial literacy programs and more. Each year, RCU supports numerous local non-profits including local volunteer centers, Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, the American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, United Way and others.
