PG&E North Bay Division Book Released

We are proud to share this electronic version of PG&E North Bay Division Book –a quick reference tool for PG&E undertakings in Marin and Napa counties and the communities of Benicia and Vallejo.  You may want to save the attached PDF file to your desktop and share with friends and family.

·         Overview of PG&E in North Bay Division.  We serve 530,000 residents within the 1,340+ square                miles of our North Bay Division, which includes Marin and Napa counties and the communities of Benicia and Vallejo.

·         Safety, reliability and service for both gas and electric.  What we have done and what we are doing now to improve our infrastructure safety and reliability for natural gas transmission and distribution pipelines and electric system.  Did you know the North Bay Division electric power lines span 2,400 miles overhead, 1,000 miles underground, and 500 miles of Transmission for a total of 3,900 miles?  There 2,000 miles of Distribution and 100 miles Transmission natural gas lines.

·         Helping residents and businesses save money and conserve energy. PG&E is dedicated to meeting the California Renewable Portfolio Standard and is on the way to achieving the goal of 33 percent of our electricity from renewable resources by 2020.   PG&E continues to see strong Plug-in Electric Vehicle adoption in its service territory. Marin and Napa counties  represent the 3rd and 17th, respectively, highest PEV selling counties in the nation. This Division represents five percent of the PEVs in PG&E’s service territory.

PG&E in the community.  North Bay Division employees personally gave their time and pledged more than $54,000 to nonprofits through our annual workplace giving programCampaign for the Community.  Pacific Gas and Electric company gave $681,000 in grants to more than 40 organizations operating in the North Bay Division focused on education, environment and economic and community vitality.
