PG&E Encourages Businesses to make Their New Years Resolution to get a PG&E Business Energy Checkup

Owning or working in a small or medium sized business means you likely wear several hats, and don’t always have the time to research opportunities to save your company money. If you’re looking to save money for your business in 2013, PG&E can help you make several energy efficiency resolutions that put money back in your pocket right away.

Analyzing your business’ energy use is your first step. An energy assessment will help you identify and prioritize ways to save energy and money, such as modernizing equipment, shifting energy use to off-peak hours, or leveraging renewable energy sources. You can also find information on incentives and rebates from PG&E that will lower your project costs and increase your return on investment.

PG&E provides integrated energy assessment solutions for all business types and sizes. Try one of these no-cost solutions today:

Do-It-Yourself Energy Assessment

The Business Energy Checkup is the newest feature in the My Energy section of PG&E’s website. It offers a full set of interactive energy management tools. You can see your monthly gas and electricity spending and compare it to similarly sized businesses. You can also track the estimated energy usage of your equipment. More importantly, you can get customized energy saving recommendations that show you how much you could potentially save.

It’s easy. Creating a customized Energy Savings Plan for your business takes minutes. Just answer five questions online. As your business grows over time, your profile can be modified.

Assistance by Phone

PG&E’s Business Customer Service Center can guide you through the Business Energy Checkup over the phone. The assessment is available at no cost and only takes a few minutes to complete. You can call the Business Customer Service Center at 1-800-468-4743.

Onsite Energy Assessments

For larger business customers, PG&E offers low- or no-cost energy audit services that include on-site analysis of your energy consuming systems and customized calculations that help you create a strategic plan for implementing energy-saving projects.
