Midstate Construction Completed the Mendocino College Library/Learning Resource Center

Owner Mendocino Lake Community College District and general contractor Midstate Construction Corporation recently completed the Library/Learning Resource Center project at the Mendocino Community College Campus in Ukiah.

Designed by TLCD Architecture of Santa Rosa, this new two story, 48,000 square foot structural steel building includes a library, teaching labs, study group rooms, media viewing areas, classrooms, administrative and faculty offices.

Green design features include sun control systems, north-facing clerestory windows, a high-efficiency climate control system and a vegetated roof system to create a sustainable and energy efficient building. Additionally, the building was designed to take advantage of the local topography, offering views of the nearby Ukiah valley and mitigating energy waste via heat gain.

Awarded "Top Real Estate Projects 2012: Green" by the North Bay Business Journal in December 2012.
