Midstate Construction Lands College of Marin Performing Arts Center Project

Owner Marin Community College District and general contractor Midstate Construction Corporation recently completed the College of Marin Performing Arts Building Modernization project in Kentfield, designed by Marcy Wong & Donn Logan Architects of Berkeley.

Work included demolition of the existing 34,000 square foot building, a 9,700 square foot two story addition and extensive interior and exterior renovation to the existing performing arts building. An abundant amount of hardscape and landscape created the Arts Plaza which connects the Performing Arts building to the Fine Arts building

This project was designed as a LEED silver project; LEED design features include solar roller shades, water use reduction and efficiency measures, sustainable site with consideration for alternative transportation, and energy and HVAC optimizations for the existing building.
